Blue for Advent?

Our web site changes color with the liturgical seasons, so why is it blue instead of purple during Advent?

Mostly just to avoid a repetition on the site of the colors for Lent. Blue was selected as it's the official alternate color for the season, as is explained in this item from An Episcopal Dictionary of the Church
