Hirsch-Pinkas Piano Duo, Sunday, March 9th, 4pm
As a part of the Concerts on the Hill concert series, the Hirsch-Pinkas Piano Duo will perform Sunday, March 9, 4pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth.
Since its 1992 debut, the Hirsch-Pinkas Piano Duo has presented one- and two-piano recitals to enthusiastic audiences throughout the world. Sally Pinkas and Evan Hirsch, each an active soloist, bring to their collaborations virtuosity, enthusiasm, and striking warmth (they are married). Dedicated to the performance of both twentieth-century music and great classical repertoire, their Portsmouth concert will include rarely-heard piano works for four hands, including Franz Schubert's Fantasia in F minor, Gabriel Fauré's Dolly Suite, Darius Milhaud's jazz-inspired La creation du monde, and a work written especially for them, Forest Music by Daniel Pinkham.
Suggested donation at the door is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. For more information call (603) 436-8283 or visit: www.hirsch-pinkas.org
