US NAVY BAND
SEA CHANTERS

MAINSTAGE: Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 7PM

Please join Concerts On The Hill on Wednesday March 4 at 7PM, presenting the US Navy Band Sea Chanters chorus live on the St. John's Mainstage. This premier ensemble performs a variety of music including traditional choral music, sea chanteys, patriotic fare, opera, Broadway and contemporary music. This is a free event, open to the public, and passes are required for entry.

MOIRA SMILEY & RASA STRING QUARTET

Moira Smiley’s Rhizome Project

MAINSTAGE: Saturday, April 11 2026, 4pm

Concerts On The Hill presents singer/composer Moira Smiley and Rasa String Quartet in a program that explores the space where classical and folk traditions intersect and influence one another.

Anchored by Smiley’s striking Rhizome Project - voice, banjo, piano, and string quartet - thread percussive, plaintive, lush string arrangements through ancient and new folk song - Rasa brings classical and new quartet-only repertoire to complement.

Please join us for a performance by the DaPonte String Quartet, featuring Haydn’s String Quartet in D Major, Op. 20 No. 4, and Ives’s String Quartet No. 2.*

Haydn’s Quartet highlights the clarity and elegance of the classical style, while Ives’ work brings a bold and distinctly American voice. Together, the pieces offer a fascinating contrast between tradition and experimentation.
