"Don't Look Away"

The Rev. Aaron B. Jenkyn

What if the ache you feel when you witness suffering isn’t a burden, but a beginning? What if mercy starts not in grand gestures, but in the quiet courage to see what others ignore? This sermon invites you into that holy discomfort: the place where love stirs, grace moves, and discipleship begins. Through personal narrative and the Gospel story of The Good Samaritan, Rev. Aaron reflects on what it means to be a neighbor, without limits.

FROM THE DESK OF ANNE WILLIAMSON

I often begin my days with the Unfolding Light daily reflection series from Steve Garnaas-Holmes, who publishes each weekday. Today, in the spirit of Aaron's Sunday Sermon, as well as wise words from Rob's mother Janie Stevens, I wish to share one with you!

Love,

Anne

Do something kind

When everything falls apart around you,

do something kind.

When the weight of the world lies heavy on you,

do something kind.

When you doubt the reality of God,

do something kind.

When you feel without purpose,

do something kind.

You needn’t feel lovely about it,

just do it.

If it has no effect,

do something kind again.

As a kindness to yourself

reclaim your capacity for kindness.

Kindness is a match. Strike it.

It warms you, and the fire spreads.
