"Where Grace Meets Us”
The Rev. Aaron B. Jenkyn
In this week’s Gospel, we hear the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, a story that turns our ideas of righteousness upside down. Jesus reminds us that humility isn’t about shrinking or shame, but about openness and a return to the childlike trust and playful grace that reconnect us to God and one another.
MUSIC
Recorded last November during our Evening Choral Eucharist Service for All Saints, this beautiful piece, "Do not stand at my grave and weep,” from Kevin Siegfried's "Songs for the Journey" featured Christina DeMaio, soloist, and Jennifer McPherson Mulhern, organist.
Be sure to mark your calendars for this Sunday, November 2 when we come together to celebrate the saints in our lives. Regular Sunday Services at 8 and 10AM, and our beautiful evening Requiem Mass for All Saints at 5PM, featuring Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem for Choir, Organ, and Strings. All services will be both in-person and live-streamed.
