Vestry Spotlight
KEN SLoVER
My name is Ken Slover and I currently work for Capstone Mechanical, a regional commercial HVAC Company.
I have been attending St. John's for 30 years with the last 3 years being a member of the Vestry. I now have the privilege of serving as Jr. Warden. Big shoes to fill and I am grateful for the support, patience and mentoring that Gerry Simpkins and Reggie Baird have given me.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, trying new restaurants (I love exploring the Portland, Maine food scene), yelling at myself on the golf course and fishing. Played pickleball for the first time and hoping to do more of that.
St. John's is a beautiful Church attended by wonderful people and led by an amazing clergy. Common Table has now made Thursday my favorite day — not because I really enjoy eating (maybe too much), but because of the conversations and the inspiration of all who attend. From the people serving to the people eating to the person playing the piano, it fills the soul and the stomach.
