2025-26 PROGRAM YEAR

“I pray that [...] Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.”
— Ephesians 3:16–17

ST. JOHN’S 2025-25 PROGRAM YEAR

This is a year of holy grounding. A year to pause, to listen, and to ask again what God is calling us to become in a world that keeps shifting around us. At St. John’s, we are not here to rush, react, or retreat. We are here to root ourselves in Jesus and ground ourselves in love — so we can move with courage, clarity, and purpose.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE Rooted in Jesus, Grounded in Love?

To be rooted in Jesus means centering our lives in the story of God made flesh: learning from his way of mercy, truth, justice, and boundary-crossing love. To be grounded in love means more than a feeling—it is a practice of daily life that requires intention, prayer, and community.

This year, we’ll be asking big questions:

  • Who was Jesus, really?

  • What did it mean to follow him then?

  • What does it mean to follow him now?

As we explore these questions, we’ll stay grounded in the practices that open us to God: prayer, rest, honest conversation, and shared wisdom.

Love makes this work possible. It keeps us centered when life is uncertain, open when answers are unclear, and moving forward together with grace and hope.

WHAT THIS YEAR HOLDS

COMMUNITY LIFE

Through worship, fellowship, and service, we’ll celebrate God’s love made real in this place and in our lives.

FORMATION FOR ALL AGES

Deep roots of Christian discipleship: prayer, reflection, study, and service that strengthen us to live faithfully and act justly in the world.

MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES DISCERNMENT

Together we’ll enter into a congregation wide process to name who we are and how God is calling us to live, serve, and lead in this moment.

SABBATH AND RENEWAL

As our rector Rob takes a sabbatical (January-May), we too are invited to reflect on what sustains us, and what God is calling us to hold together.
