St. John’s Parking Policy

Parking RULES OutlineD, a quick look.

The old sticker system is no longer valid. Parishioners are welcome to park in our metered lots during worship and programmed events for free.

An update from the Senior Warden:

You may have noticed the new parking payment kiosk in the “middle” parking lot. Paid parking during “non-Church” hours is now the norm in all of our parking lots. We remain grateful for this stream of parking revenue, which has enabled our mission, staff, and programs to grow and flourish. We feel fortunate to have the ability to off-set high taxation on the property as well.

To ensure that parking will always be available free of charge to parishioners (or others) attending church services or other events at the church (e.g., funerals, weddings, Common Table, AA, special programs, etc.), paid parking will not be enforced on Sundays before 1PM, on Thursdays before 2PM (for Common Table) and during such other events. (We share the dates and times of such events with UPP as needed.)

The previous system of parking stickers/decals for St. John’s staff and volunteers (which we have never kept track of) is no longer effective. Parish staff and volunteers regularly involved in parish ministries or programs have provided information about their vehicles that we have shared with UPP so that they will not be ticketed. If you are a member of such a ministry and have not provided such information, please get in touch and let us know. If you have been ticketed and should not have been, or have any questions about parking, please reach out to Senior Warden, Chuck Silva.
