To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the installation of our 3-manual handcrafted pipe organ, built for St. John's by Orgues Létourneau, Limited in Quebec, Canada, St. John’s is proud to present internationally renowned concert organist Bruce Neswick to the sanctuary.
This performance will be simulcast via high definition projections, giving audience members downstairs a front row seat to the action.
Admission by suggested donation; advanced tickets on sale now at tiered pricing levels; cash, check, or CC are also accepted at the door.
NOTE: All St. John’s events are presented by suggested donation only, with the option to purchase tickets in advance for peace of mind.

In order to ensure an exceptional experience for all, attendees seated downstairs in our sanctuary will have a front row seat to the action, not only being able to listen to the fabulous Létourneau organ in our space, but also will be able to see Mr. Neswick’s performance in real time via high definition projection.
Bruce Neswick enjoys immense popularity and is in tremendous demand throughout the country as organist, improviser, choral conductor and trainer, commissioned composer, and hymn festival leader. He is a musician whose playing vibrates with energy, is full of radiant color, and always expertly crafted. Mr. Neswick holds Fellowship degrees from the Royal School of Church Music and American Guild of Organists and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2016 by the University of the South, Sewanee, TN. He is Artist-in-Residence at St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla, California.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
BRUCE NESWICK
Bruce Neswick enjoys immense popularity and is in tremendous demand throughout the country as organist, improviser, choral conductor and trainer, commissioned composer, and hymn festival leader. He has served on the faculties of and performed for numerous church music conferences, including the Association of Anglican Musicians, Westminster Choir College Summer Session, and the Sewanee Church Music Conference, among others. He was a featured performer at the national AGO conventions in Seattle, Washington D.C., Dallas, and Boston.
Mr. Neswick’s organ and choral compositions are published by Paraclete, Augsburg-Fortress, Selah, Vivace, Hope, Plymouth, and St. James Press. His skill at improvisation garnered him three competition first prizes: the 1989 San Anselmo Organ Festival; the 1990 American Guild of Organists' national convention in Boston; and the 1992 Rochette Concours at the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva, Switzerland.
He is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and Yale University’s School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. His teachers include Robert Baker, David Dahl, Gerre Hancock, Margaret Irwin-Brandon, and Lionel Rogg. He holds Fellowship degrees from the Royal School of Church Music and American Guild of Organists, and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2016 by the University of the South, Sewanee, TN.
Mr. Neswick is Artist-in-Residence at Church of St. James-by-the-Sea in La Jolla, following eight years as Canon for Music at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Portland, Oregon.
