Elizabeth de Veer lives in Georgetown, Massachusetts. Before joining the team at St. John’s Episcopal Church Portsmouth, she worked at St. John's Episcopal Church in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Elizabeth has a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. She is the clerk of the Board of Directors of Theater in the Open, a non-profit theater and arts organization housed in Maudsley State Park in Newburyport. Elizabeth is also an election worker in Georgetown. Her hobbies include: very long walks, thrift-shopping and driving her 14-year old daughter around. She is the author of the novel The Ocean in Winter and The Blazekeeper of Bowmore House, due out in March of 2026. Elizabeth works closely with the treasurer to administer the church's finance needs.
