Weather permitting we will gather on the lawn overlooking the Goodwin Gardens at Strawbery Banke. All ages welcome. Bring your own chair or blanket! Our guest preacher today, The Rev. AJ Boots, is a recent graduate of the Master of Divinity program at The School of Theology in Sewanee, TN. After a summer of hospital chaplaincy work in Burlington, VT, AJ will return to Sewanee in September to begin a six-month monastic postulancy, a first step towards becoming a Sister at St. Mary’s Convent. AJ’s ordination to the priesthood is expected in January 2025. AJ grew up in Chichester, NH and prior to seminary, served in the Concord area as a staff member at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church of NH.
Holy Eucharist "Rite II" is the version of the liturgy using more modern American language, defined in the current Book of Common Prayer published in 1979.
