Easter Egg Giving Celebration

Taking the Egg Hunt to New Levels

Easter Egg Giving Celebration

Sunday, April 17

9:15AM Family Easter Service (Junior Choir Sings)

10:15-11:00AM Children’s Easter Egg Hunt & Giving Celebration

I wonder what our kids would do with $500 to give back to the community… Over the next weeks our children will wonder together about what we need most in our lives and how to use our various gifts. We're asking families and community members to SPONSOR AN EGG. Each egg can be $5 or $10 in value (we’ll accept any size donation – the kids are giving it all back to the community). After children collect the eggs from the church yard, they will go through an exercise of giving back the eggs to causes they have discussed in Sunday school. (Corresponding orgs will be selected to receive our donations, but that won’t be the focus of the children’s giving conversations.) We’ll drill it down to three causes which may fall into broader categories of need like human aid (shelter / warmth, food, health care), natural disaster relief, environment / conservation, racial / social justice, etc. We're going to wonder together and see where Jesus meets us in all this as we approach the Giving Celebration on Easter Sunday.

My prayer is that families feel invited into something meaningful yet simple, and children feel cherished and powerful. Donate and sponsor some Easter Eggs – help us make this a special giving celebration and a new Easter tradition with our church crew! You may donate in-person by check or cash (just make sure its marked for Easter Egg Giving) or by clicking the link: https://onrealm.org/StJohnsEpiscopalNH/give/EasterEgg
