Outside the box: i got bridged

Outside the Box is hosting 'I Got Bridged' this Sunday (6/4/23) following the 9:30 service. Please join us to hear Freddy Petrone's extraordinary chronicle. IGotBridged.com

"If there was ever a time when you faced an obstacle that stopped you in your tracks, come hear a remarkable story of rising above adversity to spread God's love". Sandra Dika wrote about Freddy's journey in creating 'I Got Bridged'.

I initially encountered Freddy through my work with Gather. Another organization that Outside the Box has supported. My first impression of him was that of an engaging, jovial guy who brought treats from Dunkin Donuts for the volunteers at the Friday Community Market. Soon after that he offered me his business card. Upon reading his website, which I am sure you all are familiar with, I was amazed at how much this seemingly happy-go-lucky man had endured and survived with such grace. I didn't even know he was sight impaired! Having experienced a couple of similar setbacks, I find myself still struggling. Hence my awe.

"One of the fastest growing and most successful non-profit organizations on the Seacoast is 'I Got Bridged'. Only a couple of years old, the group has remarkably amassed a myriad of volunteers to provide services to our neighbors in all categories of need".

The good works of I Got Bridged continue; two Bridge-a-thons, raised money for a 15 passenger van. Freddy's group now offer Seniors and disabled community members rides to the Common Table and other meetings at St. John's, the Gather food pantry & Mobile Markets and other medical and social events. Comedy nights and monthly Fellowship Groups provide promotion and fund raising opportunities. Neighborly outreach now include snow shoveling, raking and landscaping.

Please join us in admiration and support of my friend, Freddy Petrone, by attending the next meeting of Outside the Box, in the Thaxter Room, Sunday, June 4th, following the 9:30 service. A light luncheon will be served prior to featured presentation and question and answer period.
