"What a Week It Has Been"

The Rev. Anne C. Williamson

From the joyful celebration of a friend's ordination, to marching in solidarity with friends for Juneteenth, to celebrating the LGBTQ-plus community at Portsmouth Pride, all these are events which have given me hope - hope that God loves us as we are, no matter who we are, our race or creed, or who we love. When things are falling apart, we are called to fall together, to remember that ALL are created in the image of God. This is our hope: the promise that we are not alone.

FROM THE DESK OF ANNE WILLIAMSON

The Prayer for the Human Family

O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.
