Family Service Opportunity | Pie Deliveries

Hello families of St. John's children!

We are really hoping you’ll participate in our community outreach to deliver pies to our community members in need. On Oct 16 the Youth group is harvesting and processing apples to bake pies for our own community members who are more isolated or simply need a dose of sweet love in their life. Please volunteer to deliver a pie or two! https://forms.gle/Rhu5ZnVJasAcXQrv8

Other upcoming events for families and children:

Oct 22 - AFTERNOON HIKE! More details to come. :)

Oct 23 - Cherub Choir Sings in Church!

Oct 29 (Saturday) - Family Night!! RSVP HERE. Ally and Chuck will be cooking up some chili and cornbread on October 29th. Bring a dish to share and come hang out! Wear a costume if you like! It would be lovely to see you all. We'll keep an eye on the weather since there's not quite enough space for everyone inside.

Oct 30 - COSTUME SUNDAY - Halloween costumes welcome!

Nov 6 - 9AM Presiding Bishop Michael Curry @ SJC - all children’s music groups will sing in church. Need full crews for acolyting, reading, ushering. Only ONE service this morning. Upper elementary children will sit in church with families. Sunday school offered for youngest children.

Nov 20 - 5PM Parish Dinner Party!!

Upper Elementary (Gr. 3-5) are welcome to join weekly in-church service opportunities:

- Acolyting

- Ushering / Greeting / Bell Ringing (fun to do with a friend!)

- Reading a lesson in church

We really hope you’ll try an in-church position alongside Sunday school and music obligations. Working alongside the ushering team or at the altar with Rob and Anne is a wonderful learning experience in how we do what we do at SJC. Without these teams in place, it wouldn’t feel the same. Get to know where you fit into the bigger community!
