Taking the Egg Hunt to New Levels
The Easter Giving Eggs
WEDNESDAY, May 7
Following Up on St. John’s Generosity
In 2022, a new twist on an old tradition began — an Easter Egg Hunt in the church yard aimed to be fun, reduce plastic waste, and help children connect with causes they care about. This year, thanks to the St. John’s community, the eggs raised nearly $3,000. Our children chose causes to support centered around Nature and Sustainability, Social Justice and Equality, and People and Community. In the past, funds raised were donated to Gather Food Pantry, the Episcopal Relief Fund, and Kittery Land Trust.
In our continued efforts to support righteous causes around our communities, the children of St. John’s have deemed it appropriate to donate $740 to The Waterkeeper of the Great Bay, $580 to I’m Your Neighbor, and $1,460 to Nooney Farm. We hope you will click through each of their organization names to learn more about the good work they are doing!
