"Life Already Breaking Through"
The Rev. Aaron B. Jenkyn

On Easter, we often come to remember what happened long ago, but this sermon invites us to see that resurrection is already unfolding around us and within us. Tracing Mary’s encounter at the empty tomb alongside the quiet signs of life in our own world, it proclaims that love is stronger than death and that what feels finished is not the end. Read more to reflect on where you see life already breaking through and what it might mean to live as Easter people.

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF ST. JOHN'S
TAKE THE ALL PARISH SURVEY

You are invited to take part in our Mission, Vision, and Values survey. We hope everyone in our parish community will participate, whether you are new, returning, or have been here for years. This survey is helping us reflect on who we are, listen for where God is calling us, and shape the future of St. John’s together. The survey is anonymous and takes about 15 minutes to complete. Your voice truly matters. If you are able, please take a few minutes to complete it and encourage others to do the same. The survey will remain open through April 26. This is one of the most important ways you can contribute to the life of the parish right now.

Click here to take the survey.

If you need help completing the survey or would prefer a paper copy, please call the office. We are glad to assist.

DIOCESAN UPDATE: BISHOP SEARCH UNDERWAY

The Episcopal Church of New Hampshire has reached an important milestone in the process of discerning and calling its 11th Bishop. On March 31, the Diocese released the 2026 Diocesan Profile — a document shaped by prayer, listening sessions, and voices from across the Diocese. It offers a snapshot of our shared life and will help guide the search for our next bishop.

We invite your prayers for all involved — for those discerning a call, for the Search Committee and Standing Committee, and for the whole Diocese as we listen together for the Spirit’s leading.

You are also invited to help share this opportunity. If you are connected to clergy or church leaders beyond St. John’s, consider passing along the diocesan profile. You never know where the Spirit may be stirring. The full profile, position description, and application materials are available online. Applications are due by noon on Monday, May 11.
