In our too-much-exodus days,
we pray especially for all
who have fled their homes,
in these and so many other
fires, storms, floods,
in earthquake and warfare.
As St. John’s physically connects its home of spiritual worship with its place of more “family” togetherness let’s all be mindful of our world and strive…really strive…for global human connectedness.
It is madness to wear ladies’ straw hats and velvet hats to church; we should all be wearing crash helmets.
Whether your faith is that there is a God or that there is not a God, if you don't have any doubts, you are either kidding yourself or asleep. Doubts are the ants in the pants of faith. They keep it awake and moving.
Love is the last thing we need to ration in this world.
Beside the still waters, I will lay my body down,

These words aren’t just powerful for children to hear, but for adults, too. Knowing them, keeping them in our hearts and on our lips, is an eye-opening reminder of how our lives can be lived.
